Online Hammered Dulcimer Course (Beginner to Advanced)

By the end of the course, the learner is expected to:

be familiar with all the different parts of the hammered dulcimer;
be familiar with the notes on the hammered dulcimer;
play simple to advanced melodies on the hammered dulcimer.

The hammered dulcimer (also called the hammer dulcimer, dulcimer, santouri, or tympanon) is a percussion-stringed instrument which consists of strings typically stretched over a trapezoidal resonant sound board.

In this course, you will first learn the notes and how to read them and then will start your journey towards playing the hammered dulcimer. Additionally, if you have had some previous lessons in this instrument and wish to learn more advanced topics and skills, your designated music instructor will provide you with a tailored course plan/content to help you improve your skills.
